Online Bible Degree vs Traditional Bible Degree

A traditional bible degree program will put you in a traditional classroom surrounded by classmates and an instructor will be in front of you. You will be required to attend classes at specified dates and times throughout the week. Exams are given on a certain date, and assignments are due at certain dates and times as well. However you do get the opportunity to meet your classmates and have one on one discussions with your instructors in person.

When looking at online bible degree vs traditional bible degree programs, there are a number of reason why students choose to learn through an online bible degree program. Online bible degrees give you the flexibility of time and location. There are certain schools that will require you to attend class at a certain time, even if you are online, however the location is still your preference. You will want to check with your potential college of choice as to whether the classes are asynchronous or synchronous.

Online courses still teach you the same material, however your ability to meet up with other students or meet with your instructor in person may not always be possible due to the fact that online classes are international and you could be in a class with someone from across the street, town, state, country or world.

If you are still decided between online bible degree vs traditional bible degree programs, you will want to look at your own personal learning style. Do you learn best with others, or on your own? Do you have the dedication, motivation and focus to learn from home amongst other distractions or do you need an environment that keeps you focused? The decision really comes down to how you learn best and where you will find the right degree program for your needs.
