Online Bible Degree
The school was founded in 1971 as a tool for students to use as they made their way into the world as professionals and Christians at the same time. The campus is large (6,500 acre campus with over 200 buildings), with a majority of their students enrolled in the online programs (58,000 of their 70,000 enrolled students are online only).
Liberty University also offers a School of Law as well as a Baptist Theological Seminary where students can earn degrees in Biblical studies and Christian Studies.
As an undergraduate student, students can earn an online bible degree by way of a minor within the Bachelor of Science in Religion degree. This minor includes a total of 15 credits, 3 in Biblical Backgrounds, and 12 in elective courses. It provides a basic foundation for studying the Bible and learning how to interpret it. As a minor, you can study the Old and New Testament.
For the more advanced student, there is a Masters online bible degree program in Biblical studies. This low-cost master’s degree program is available completely online and can be completed in 45 credit hours. It prepares you for a career within the church, especially as a minister or pastor. It takes a more in-depth approach to studying and interpreting the bible and is usually a requirement for most faith-based careers.
